Alibi is a single-origin extra virgin olive oil from Puglia — built around the idea that good olive oil should feel like contraband, not a health food. The brand identity leans dark: noir, bold, unapologetic.
I created the label illustration for the Coratina varietal. A snake wrapped around a dagger, dripping green — sharp, peppery, defiant. Exactly how the oil tastes. Packaging design by Robert Bruno.
The result was an illustration that became the centerpiece of the label — not a decorative detail, but the thing your eye goes to first. The snake-and-dagger motif held its own against a typographically heavy design and matched the brand's energy without explanation. Exactly what a good label illustration should do.
