Buttondown had a strong product and a clear voice – thoughtful, independent, a little wry – but the website needed visuals that could carry that personality. The project was a set of custom illustrations covering key product sections: from deliverability and automations to their creator-first philosophy. The goal was a cohesive visual language that felt human and unpretentious, matching a platform that genuinely doesn't want to be Mailchimp.
